My Journey Starts over, and my return to Beachbody.

I always though after I lost over 200 LBS in just over 2 years that I would never get fat again. I thought with the determination that I had to lose 140 LBS of that in just 10 months that I had the tools to be healthy for the rest of my life. After all, I lost the weight, became a certified personal trainer started training for body building and was always studying.

Well after getting to an all time low, getting into a relationship, getting out of a relationship, leaving a career, starting a new career and trying to date, well, I gained everything back. Well, not everything, but most everything. You see as of just 4 weeks ago, I had returned to being 326 LBS. Yes, that's right, I went from being 197 LBS in 2011 back to 326 LBS in August of 2016. I had everything I needed to stay successful, but it wasn't enough. Along my journey(which I knew would be a lifetime) I completely lost myself. I go lazy and life got crazy. But that is just an excuse. Honestly, I just stopped caring. I never completely used my certification that I worked so hard to get. I couldn't land a job in a gym, and finally took another desk job. I reverted back to old habits of eating out for breakfast everyday, eating garbage for lunch every day, and pigging out for dinner. Pizza and just two slices? Are you kidding, lets just eat a whole large by myself.

Sadly, I saw what was happening to me, but I didn't do anything to stop it. I tired, well kind of tried. I would go to the gym still, but once a week and try to eat healthy, but it wasn't enough. Who was I fooling, I knew I wasn't doing enough to fix the problem. I knew that I needed to make a change and get back to being accountable for myself and get support.

So that brings to the next bit. I decided to return to Beachbody. For anyone who followed my first journey, they know that nearly my entire first transformation was at the hands of Beachbody products and me being a Beachbody Coach. Around 2013 I decided to drop Beachbody coaching though, I could do it on my own and my own way. But that's the thing, since I didn't have a job in the fitness industry besides writing a few plans out for people, I wasn't accountable for what I looked like and my diet. So in August 2016 I decided to get back into Beachbody. Sure I still had all my old workouts like Insanity, P90X, RevAbs, and so one, but I didn't have shakeology, I didn't have support and when you are selling or promoting a product, you are going to use it to be accountable and show people that it works. So I signed back up under my old coach, I trust her, she has been very supportive too during everything.

Now just 4 weeks in, I am down 14 LBS, and over 18 inches all around. It's hard work. I am working out everyday, I am drinking my Shakeology every day, I'm meal prepping every week(in fact that is today) But I have support. I have an awesome coach that isn't pushing me to make sales on product. I have people watching my new journey and following my progress, I am already receiving messages that I have inspired people to start changing now. I never thought I would go back to Beachbody, but here I am and it feels great.

So if you want to join me, if you want to change and become healthier, Send me a message or email me at corey@largetoincharge.com. You can also visit http://ltic.me and contact me via the site or place an order today.

I'm going to start posting more, it's been nearly two years since my last post, so here is to new beginnings and a new journey.

The Journey into X2!

While one door closes, another one opens. This of course to me is about working out though. It was the end of November 2011 when I jumped into Insanity the Asylum, that of course was right after Insanity. During the month of December I completed a full program. Granted Asylum is only 30 days long, but going non-stop for 30 days is a lot harder than most think. On top of that, I started having serious back pain around the last week and a half. But I survived it and with enough time to rest before taking on my next big program...

It's already January 3rd in 2012 and I am 2 days into P90X2. I made a promise to myself to start it at the beginning of the year and make it my program for 2012. Like all the programs I have done over this last year, it is difficult starting out. I can actually hang fairly well, but let me tell you, I am sore! I opted for P90X2 for a few reasons. I wanted to be among the first to do the program while others where doing the program, and I really wanted something to challenge me in a different way. I love Insanity and the Insanity programs, and I can't wait for more. But I fell my cardio is pretty decent at this time. What I really wanted to work on was one of my weakest areas, and that is strength. I knew if any program would help me in strength, it would be a P90X program. So here I am, 2 days in, and my body is screaming at me. Muscles sore and aching, I just want to smear icy hot all over my body at this point. But I feel great too. I am pushing myself in a whole different way. But we should see how I survive this week. Tomorrow will be my first recovery day, and on friday I will be doing yoga for the first time since I was in high school. Stay tuned for what the journey holds for me....

Leaving everyday Insanity for THE ASYLUM!!

It's crazy thinking that this time last year I was still the shape of a ball, well more a football, but a ball none the less. I could barely workout, and what I was doing was just barely pushing myself. Fast forward to just a couple Sundays ago, and I finished one of the most intense workout programs on the markte! Yes, I finished my 60 day Insanity program! Ok, so if you have been following my blog, you know it was more than 60 days that I have been doing Insanity. In fact, I started Insanity back in May 2011, but due to some medical issues, I was unable to complete the program. After trying and trying to start from where I left off, I decided to do a full reboot. This was one of the best things I could have done. While I still had issues along the way with my back and at the end of the program my shoulders acting up, I finished.

Pushing play with Insanity was sometimes a chore, I admit it. It is a hard workout and really makes you question your sanity for doing it. Shaun T tells you to "Dig Deep" and sometimes it's hard to do when you barely have the energy left to stand on your two feet. But it has been so worth it. The best part, is I have my proof that I finished Insanity with my T-shirt that I earned! But I'm not done yet.

Last Monday I started Insanity The Asylum! I again have been humbled by Shaun T. I knew it was going to be tough, but I figured I would fair well with the program. It feels like I am starting Insanity for the first time ever! I am digging deep and powering through, but my body has not been through this kind of workout before. It is exciting though. I am already noticing changes in my legs after just 9 days in the program. I feel stronger and can jump higher. So far my favorite workout is Back To Core. It is one of the few workouts that I have found of any of the programs I have done that gives my low back a good workout. This is important to me because of my low back issues from the past.

I am down to just 20 days left in the Asylum, and I'm looking to earn another shirt. I am pushing myself even further, and will be doing Asylum a few times over in the future. But there is another Program on my list, and that is P90X2...Oh yeah, I am insane!

Hitting the mark

One thing we often do in life is set high goal for ourselves. We will set goals that we know we can't achieve, just for the reason to fail. Think about it for a minute. If you fail, most times you won't try again. This is our way of saying we did something and moving on. But what if we kept striving to accomplish our goals?

That's what I did when embarking on my weight loss journey. I set a near impossible goal of losing 30 lbs in one month. But I kept pushing. That fire from that goal kept burning inside me. I kept pushing and pushing. Now look at me, I have lost 140 lbs and I feel great. Think about that next time you are satisfied or are ready to quit. It's all about pushing yourself. Don't take failure in stride, strive to always do better. Never be satisfied with accomplishing something, you can always do better, push hard, play harder!

1 year of healthy living

It's hard to believe that it was one year ago today that I decided to take my life back. It all started with me weighing in at 332 LBS! Sadly that wasn't my heaviest, but after endless health issues with being sick and my back always hurting, and some major nudging from my doctor, I knew it was time to do something.

It hasn't been an easy year. Even today I struggle with eating right and working out on a regular basis. Heck, I'm human and I am still adjusting to my new life. After 28 years of horrible habits, it is going to some time to break all those bad habits. But what I have accomplished in just 1 year is what many would say is truly amazing. I went from 332 LBS, 43.6 BMI and 47% body fat down to 197 LBS, 24.89 BMI and 11.9% body fat. That is in one year. I have gone from being morbidly obese to being average in weight.

The hardest part I think about all of the weight loss is convincing my family that I'm not anorexic though. They are so used to me getting second and thirds, and filling up my plate or eating massive amounts of food, that when I eat healthy I get accused of having an eating disorder. This actually sets me back quite a bit because I find myself bingeing on food just to prove that I eat, and I end up eating way more than normal. Were I normally eat 1 serving size at lunch, when with my mom I actually eat 3 - 4 servings sizes (restaurant dinner portion plate). So this obviously sets me back. Even this last week I have struggled with massive weight gain because of this very reason.

All in all, I am very pleased with my results. I still want to lose the rest of my gut, but again, I have gone from a 52 waist pant to a 34 waist. I just really want a flat stomach, and be able to look good shirtless.
